NIKI LOCANTORE

Niki grew up in a very active household partaking in cheerleading, softball, and dance at as young as 5 years old. At 10, she started doing mat pilates VHS tapes with her mom. She graduated from college and began working in Manhattan as an ultrasound sonographer specializing in cardiovascular, general, OBGYN and musculoskeletal studies, due to her love of anatomy and helping others. As a stress reliever from her busy work schedule she started taking more pilates classes and went on to get her certification through Core Pilates LLC, trained by master instructor Tamara Slupchynskyj. In 2023, she attended the Kathi Ross Nash workshop, gaining expertise in Variations on the Reformer, Injuries & Applications, Killer Caddy, and Leg Stretches from the Ground Up, allowing her to offer tailored, safe, and dynamic workouts for clients of all levels. She started teaching because she wanted to share her knowledge and show clients that the pilates method helps you attain and more importantly maintain good posture no matter your body type. She loves that pilates strengthens, leans and lengthens your body while also teaching the mind-body connection the majority of us lack in all other forms of exercise (which creates a safer and more effective workout). Through pilates she was also able to recover from her torn meniscus without surgery and she works with clients with various injuries and ailments. Pilates does not discriminate— any age, gender, and fitness level are welcome!
